First thoughts

So after picking the car up, first agenda was to do a deep dive inspection. This is the real meaning of finding dirt under the carpet. A couple of rust spots here and there, some worse than others.

Trunk seal, what's left of it. Rust everywhere. All this will be cut out during the bodywork. You can always trust Diastar Auto Care to deliver on that front.

It appears these speakers went it "at all costs". This shall be remedied as the work on the panels takes place.

Rear spoiler installation had some casualties as well. The trunk lid will get a full replacement. No need for patch work there.

More cut-away sections.

As I did a once over on the wiring, I happened to come by some gremlins. This here is called a firestarter. Designed to help you confirm the contents of your fire extinguisher. At TheLabInc(c), we banish them with fire, into the pits of mordor.

If you are wondering what this is, it is what you get when you add Lead acid battery+22year old metal+some water to catalyze the reaction. Corroded battery seat. I did some first aid cutting and sterilization. Followed by a couple of coats rust treatment. Hopeful that this will hold until the car is ready for the full body work. The plan is to eventually relocate the power pod to the trunk.

More loose ends, in the literal sense.

Split  ends too.

Que?

Resting place as we await transformation.

Wheels replacement. Though eventually the black will turn to gold.

Clean power.

Width comparison. "Moar" wide.

Gotta admit though, the car is beautiful to behold.

Let the transformation begin!
