So finally the day came to send the GC to Diastar. It was kinda depressing, sort of like that feeling in prep school when you had to resume operation after a mid-term break. Goodbye is hard. Snapped up a couple of pics before. Enjoy.

You gotta admit, those lads over at Fuji Heavy Industries had their design principles in check. Minimalist but functional. This one however, has been fettled with some choice bits here and there to make it more performance oriented.

This gauge cluster is one of the "classic" bits that we shall bid adieu to. It's replacement, you ask? Well, that is a secret for now. I can neither confirm nor deny whether it will have red backlight or sti carbon trim. Though more importantly, I am sure that by now you are all wondering what the red button does.

Stopping power! While over at Diastar, I found these babies spruced and prepped up, ready for collection by a client. With permission, I had to take a couple of shots. Share with the world this rare art form that it taking place at Diastar. I will expect no less when it comes to the stopping apparatus for the GC, albeit in a more vibrant color.

There were some mock up sketches as we debated the various bracing and reinforcement options for the GC.

However, that is a post for another day. For now, let us track progress on Step 1: stripping down. More to come.
